The exhibition is rooted in the exploration of the primitive materiality of colour: creating with materials provided by the natural environment and restoring the direct relationship between matter, pigment and process.

Sulé Duc produces dyes and pigments from his immediate surroundings and local ecosystems, using them as a starting point to reconnect with ancestral techniques while exploring their possibilities within contemporary artistic practice.

The colours featured in the exhibition are obtained from pigments, minerals, plant matter and substances of animal origin, as well as through alchemical processes. Each piece is unique, shaped by the nature of the materials it comprises and by the very process of making that gives it its distinctive character.
