The workshop activity “Create Your Own Mask” is part of the exhibition Mons Interiors, dedicated to Alberto Quintanilla de la Mar, a Peruvian painter, printmaker and sculptor born in Cusco in 1934, whose work was praised by Pablo Picasso as “the first Peruvian contribution to universal painting”.

In this creative experience, his masks —which evoke Andean myths, personal tales and fantastical figures inspired by an ancestral tradition transformed through his imagination— will engage in a direct dialogue with the exhibition’s migrant and symbolic imagery.
